Limitation can be a good thing

I always find the most productive period of my time was on a coast-to-coast flight, where I am locked up in my seat for 5 hours, and there is no Internet or phone calls.

I have no choice but to work on my laptop before it ran out of battery.

Then I had to retreat to a notebook (paper notebook), where the only thing I can do is writing. That opens up all the free thought in my mind, because I won't be distracted by spell checkers, don't have to waste my brain cell choosing which file to open or what font to use to write down my ideas.

I only wish my flight is not emitting so much greenhouse gas.
