Plunge into linux

More and more of my code (or 3rd party library) are running on linux now.

Last year, it was only Matlab's hunger for more virtual memory that drove me to linux box. Since moving to Amazon, linux has become a daily necessity. To the point that I dedicated a hard drive for fedaro core 5, that can be swapped with a hard drive with windows xp.

Fedora core 5 is awesome in the sense that it matches well with the Dell D610 Amazon gave me. Even the sound card works.

After first time successfully recompiling the kernel last night, I started to feel I am really getting a hang of the beast. I like the fact that one can control everything in FC5, unlike anywhere else in life.
